Nova Associação Brasileira de Regentes de Coros (ABRACO) is a non-profit and non-partisan civil society of a cultural, educational and representative character, having as associates professional choral conductors, linked or not to public and private institutions, operating throughout the Brazilian territory. The foundation of the New Brazilian Association of Choral Directors was only possible thanks to the work of a group of professionals who met with the aim of organizing the movement of Brazilian choral directors. At the International Choral Conducting Congress, held in September 2020, the managing group that now integrates the board of ABRACO was elected. The main objective of the association is to promote artistic and musical development, stimulating the practice of choral singing, aiming to increase the quality of artistic and cultural experiences of its participants.
